What we collect, and nothing more

There are no user accounts. You do not need to register to listen, read or browse. Most of this site works without us knowing anything about you.

We collect data in four situations, all of them started by you.

1. When you send a drawing

You can draw on the home page and send it to us. We ask for your name and email, and you have to agree that we may use the drawing.

• The drawing and the name are published in the gallery after someone on the team has reviewed it. Nothing is published automatically.
• The email is never published. It is only so we can contact you if we want to use the drawing — as a show's artwork, for instance. It is kept in private storage, separate from the site's public content.

Legal basis: your consent, given when you press send. Kept until you ask us to delete it, or until we no longer need it.

2. When you reserve from the shop

The shop is physical — there is no online payment. To reserve an item we ask for your name, email and phone number, and, only if you want it posted, your address.

This is used solely to handle the reservation: to contact you and arrange collection at our space or postage. It is used for nothing else and shared with nobody, except a postal service where delivery requires it.

Legal basis: performance of a contract at your request. Kept as long as needed to handle the order and meet accounting obligations where those apply.

3. When you write in the chat

The chat asks for a name — it can be made up, we verify nothing. Messages are temporary: they delete themselves after about 12 hours, and we keep no history and tie them to no identity.

4. When you visit the site

We count visits to know what gets read and listened to, in two ways:

• Our own counters, hosted by us. They count page views and how many people are on the site at once. They use no cookies, do not identify you, and never leave our servers.
• Google Analytics, but only if you accept it. If you decline it is not loaded and collects nothing about you.

Where the data lives

We work with hosting and infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions. The site's public content and the contact details are kept in separate systems: the contact details are not reachable by anyone browsing the site.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union. Google Analytics in particular transfers data to the United States — one of the reasons it only runs with your consent.

Those transfers rest on the safeguards the GDPR provides for: a European Commission adequacy decision, or standard contractual clauses. If you want to know which providers we use specifically, or a copy of those safeguards, just ask.

Third-party content

Some pages embed Mixcloud and YouTube players, and the live stream comes from radio.co. When you press play on one of these, that service may set its own cookies and receive your IP address. Those are governed by their policies, not ours.

Children's drawings

The drawing canvas is used by people of all ages, children included. If you are responsible for a child whose drawing was submitted and you want it taken down, write to us and we will remove it — no questions, no justification needed.

What you can demand

You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict or object to processing, and to receive it in a reusable format. Where processing rests on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting what was done before.

If you think we handled it badly, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD, at www.cnpd.pt.

Security

Access to the site's management area is password protected, with a cap on attempts and sessions that fall the moment the password changes. Contact details are stored separately from the public content, precisely so they are not reachable by anyone browsing the site.

No system is infallible. If there is ever an incident that affects you, we will tell you.

Changes

If we change this policy we change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we say so on the site.
