We Sea

Clemente Almeida and Rui Rofino (WE SEA) began to move through the experience of the archipelago, carried by a trembling dial-up modem, by memories of concerts recorded on unlabelled cassettes, and by the regeneration of Rómulo San-Bento’s sounds, pristinely archived on floppy disks since secondary school. From Brian Eno came Music for Airports. From WE SEA comes Music for Indoor Pools; Music for descending escalators and for the queue at Euromotas. Music to listen to on the bus in that early September. And music for that transition between late-afternoon shows on the regional public broadcaster.
