An undeniable figure of our underground imagination, Claiana is a spectacle embodied in flesh, show and bone that no one has ever accused of hip paralysis. A native of São Nicolau (Cabo Verde), Aguinaldo Conceição grew up among mornas, funanás and the whole volcanic diversity that makes the archipelago one of the planet’s musical hot spots, yet forging a (literally) own language that makes his songs instantly recognizable within seconds.
